52 Portraits :: week #36

Stranger in Canberra

Asking strangers to take their portrait is far easier with the Fuji x100 than with a massive DSLR!

I met this man recently and was impressed with his beard, so naturally I asked him if I could take his portrait. It turns out that he is  regular asked for his portrait, though usually by Japanese tourists posing with him, and felt quite comfortable with me pointing my retro looking camera at him. The stranger was visiting from Western Australia and shopping for a new Australian flag to replace the tattered one on his farm.

I wish I had asked his name..
