Nath

Photographing the ‘real’ Nathan is pretty easy..

..as he’s always just being himself anyway..

Nathan’s real talent is his ability to be real. His attempts at covering it up with awesome song writing skills, guitar playing, singing, fatherhood, husbandry, and youth leadership fail to hide just how down to earth he is.

As a result he inspires and motivates people to their best by simply being himself..

Love your work Nathan.. can’t wait for our next steam bun/robot chicken session!

Mark and Angela :: Wedding

Mark and Angela-4

A wedding that I’ll never forget!

It had it all, perfect weather, MA15+ content, action and drama, comedy and tragedy, coffee, and two people in love..

Mark and Angela are a couple of people who you just want to hang around with.. Mark is very funny and would do almost anything for a dare (..hence some MA15+ content..) and Angela is a super fit boxer. (..the action..)

The weather was a photographer’s dream with perfect cloud covering up until the mid afternoon. Photographs with Mark and the boys were both fun and revealing and aside from the near miss of Mark falling out of a tree, went without a hitch.

Angela and the girls were simply stunning and fantastic to photograph..

The ceremony was held outdoors in a Rose garden with family and close friends attending, a perfect backdrop to Mark and Angela’s perfect day.

There are different type of investments that people can make..

..but the investment made into young people is, I believe, the most worthwhile of them all..

At the recently held Salvation Army Youth Carnival where I was invited to take photos of their annual event, I was struck by how many people invested their talent and time into the young people.. The camp runs for close to five days, and the leaders at the event are on hand twenty four hours of the day. The investment made into the young peoples lives is extraordinary and inspiring.. an amazing group of people!

Once again, I took a small amount of time to take a few individual portraits of people..

Andrew Short

Andrew can hear..

He listens intently when you talk to him, and validates who you are when having a conversation with him.. that is, he hears who you are..

I first met Andrew when we were studying Jazz at Adelaide University where we were both in the same small group ensemble.. Andrew on Trombone, and myself on Bass.. His extensive knowledge and experience on his instrument was a great inspiration to me, and his encouragement drove me to work on my music harder. In fact, Andrew inspires me regardless of what he does by the sheer passion he places into his pursuits.

Andrew Short is by far one of the easiest people to like!

Love your work Andrew!
